Warranty Policy

Denemmotion operates strictly as an authorized online retail dealer for EMMO products. All warranties listed below are provided directly by the manufacturer (EMMO Inc.) and are subject to the manufacturer’s central eligibility terms, data tracking, and technical approvals. By purchasing any product through denemmotion.com, the buyer explicitly agrees to the warranty procedures, mileage caps, and exclusions outlined below.

For complete coverage rules, please review our integrated Terms of Purchase page.

1. Core Warranty Terms & Restrictions

  • Original Owner Only: This manufacturer warranty is extended exclusively to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable. A valid, unaltered original digital invoice from Denemmotion is strictly required to initiate any claim.

  • Component-Only Coverage: Because Denemmotion is an online sales channel without a physical service garage or local mechanics, this warranty covers the replacement of defective parts/hardware only.

  • Labor Disclaimer: Denemmotion does not cover, reimburse, or assume financial liability for any mechanical labor costs, diagnostic fees, shop rates, or tuning charges associated with diagnosing, removing, or installing warranty components. All physical labor costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

2. Standard Manufacturer Warranty Periods

A. Electric Bicycle-Style E-Bikes

  • Frame & Motor: 2 Years (or up to a maximum odometer reading of 4,000 km, whichever comes first).

  • Battery & Factory Charger: 1 Year (or up to a maximum odometer reading of 4,000 km, whichever comes first).

B. Scooter-Style E-Bikes, Motorcycle-Style E-Bikes, Dirt Bikes (Caofen F80), and Mobility Scooters

  • Battery & Factory Charger: 6 Months.

  • Other Covered Core Components: 1 Year (or up to a maximum odometer reading of 6,000 km, whichever comes first).

3. Covered Components vs. Wear-and-Tear Exclusions

Covered Hardware

The manufacturer warranty strictly covers verified factory manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the following items (collectively referred to as "Covered Components"): Frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, integrated light fixtures, bottom bracket, crankset, pedals, rims, wheel hubs, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, mechanical shifters, electric hub motor, throttle assembly, speed controller, internal wiring harness, LCD display panel, kickstand, and assembly hardware.

Critical Items NOT Covered (Wear & Tear)

The comprehensive manufacturer warranty does NOT cover standard wear items or cosmetic degradation. Excluded items include, but are not limited to:

  • Consumables: Tires, inner tubes, brake pads, brake rotors, brake cables, cable housings, handlebar grips, drive chains, and wheel spokes.

  • Cosmetics: Plastic body housings, shrouds, fairings, surface pitting, scratches, paint chips, rust, or upholstery tears.

  • Environmental Damage: Deterioration or electrical shorts caused by prolonged exposure to water, rain, pressure washers, road salt, freezing temperatures, or storage in high-humidity or sub-zero environments.

  • Lack of Maintenance: Any damage or component failure resulting from a lack of regular mechanical tuning, loose hardware, or failure to perform the mandatory pre-ride safety checks.

4. Conditions That Will Void the Warranty

The manufacturer warranty will be rendered immediately NULL AND VOID if the vehicle is subjected to any of the following conditions:

  • Commercial Use: Altering the vehicle from its original personal recreational design or using it for commercial purposes, including but not limited to food delivery services, commercial courier routing, or towing cargo trailers.

  • Unauthorized Service: Any mechanical service, internal diagnostic opening, or replacement of parts performed by an unauthorized individual or non-certified e-bike technician.

  • Electrical Alterations: Modifying the factory electrical system, splicing wires, overriding factory speed limiters, swapping controllers, or utilizing third-party chargers. For Lithium-ion models, using an unapproved charger brand, incorrect voltage rating, or non-EMMO charging unit voids all battery protections and presents a severe safety hazard.

5. Over-the-Counter Purchased Parts Warranty

For individual replacement parts or components purchased separately through our website:

  • 90-Day Protection: The manufacturer covers defects in materials or workmanship for standalone parts for ninety (90) days from the date of receipt.

  • Battery Over-the-Counter Restriction: As dictated by strict manufacturer fire safety and installation regulations, all standalone lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries sold directly but NOT installed by an authorized corporate EMMO facility are strictly FINAL SALE. These over-the-counter battery purchases carry no return window, no exchange options, and no operational warranty coverage.

6. Official Warranty Claim & Resolution Procedures

A valid proof of purchase and precise hardware documentation are mandatory for every claim.

  • Step 1: File an Online Report: In the event of a suspected defect or component malfunction, the buyer must immediately contact Denemmotion support by emailing info@denemmotion.com.

  • Step 2: Provide Required Evidence: To initiate the evaluation, your email must include your original order number, a detailed description of the malfunction, a clear video/photo demonstrating the technical issue, and a high-resolution photo of the current digital odometer reading.

  • Step 3: Manufacturer Review & Remedies: Denemmotion will submit the technical data directly to the manufacturer's engineering team for review. If a component is deemed defective by the factory team, EMMO will, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following exclusive remedies: (1) Repair the defective covered component using new or refurbished factory parts, or (2) Ship a replacement new or refurbished component directly to the buyer's address.

  • Step 4: Physical Inspection Requirements: If the factory technical team cannot determine eligibility via photos or video, the buyer may be required to ship the suspected defective component directly to the central EMMO fulfillment center for physical bench testing. All shipping, freight, and insurance costs associated with transporting parts to the manufacturer for warranty evaluation are the sole financial responsibility of the buyer.
